Sunshine class have been sharing their favourite memories and things to do with their dads, grandads, uncles and brothers. We have made special cards for Sunday and we hope you enjoy looking at them. Thank you to the dads who came into school to celebrate fathers day this week.

We have spent quite a lot of time looking at our high frequency Gruffalo cards, from next week we will start taking off the words the children can read and write so that hopefully by the time they finish for summer they will know lots of these words.

We are really pleased with how many children are reading more regularly at home, the are making great progress. Thank you for your support.

Due to sports day being postponed yet again the children had the opportunity to watch Mary Poppins in the hall on Wednesday afternoon. Our end of year key stage 2 production is Nanny Poppins based on this film. Tickets will be available nearer the time.

Other exciting things this week were singing assembly on Tuesday morning, music lesson with Mrs Bennett on Wednesday, football with AFC flyde on Thursday morning and a visit to the life bus on Thursday afternoon.

What a busy week.

Don't forget next week is our beacon fell trip on Friday.

This week our star of the week certificate goes to Ethan.

Our merit certificates go to Kara for writing words independently and Justyna for always trying her best with all our activities.
