Across the year we cover a wide range of Mathematics skills. A key focus is on arithmetic which is calculations pesented and solved in a simple format, (4533+9984 or 3345-1998) which are then solved using either a mental method, or where appropriate a written method.

Other skills focus on interpreting and presenting data, as well as work looking at shape and space. Wherever appropriate we aim to include real life examples and applications to help give Mathematics a context in the real world in line with our Mission Statement. Below you will find the key outcomes for Mathematics .

Ma6/4.1    Statistics

Ma6/4.1a    interpret and construct pie charts and line graphs and use these to solve problems

Ma6/4.1b    calculate and interpret the mean as an average.
